All of these options are driven by the product data in the Retail Management System. When clicking on the button a full screen configurator for this product appears.

The options have hierarchy, meaning additional options appear and disappear based on selections. You can have text options or images. It works great for swatches but also illustrations to show things like drawer configuration. The options can be price affecting too.
