Are there minimum fees?
There are no minimum fees. You only pay the rate for what you transact, when you transact.
How do I obtain a Merchant ID?
ClearAccept provides the combination of payment gateway and merchant account services in one simple solution. ClearAccept will supply you with a Merchant ID. If you do not know this, please contact Sellerdeck support.
I wish to take website and telephone orders – will I need two separate Merchant IDs?
Your account will be setup with both online and MOTO.
How long does it take for customer payments to be credited into my bank account?
Typically three working days from transaction date.
How long does it take to process a customer refund?
Typically three working days, but depends on the customer’s bank account.
Is there a transaction volume limit?
No, you are just charged 1.4% + 20p per transaction (plus VAT).
Can I accept American Express (AMEX) cards?
Yes. If you already have an Amex MID then enter that when you fill out the application form for ClearAccept. If you want to sign up for Amex subsequently, contact support and we’ll arrange it.
How do I increase the transaction limit for online or offline?
There are no transaction limits for offline or online, however the fraud monitoring may block a transaction if it is unusually high in value. If this happens, please raise a support ticket.
Is there a transaction volume limit?
No, you are just charged 1.4% + 20p per transaction (plus VAT).
Are ‘pre-authorisations’ charged by ClearAccept?
No, you only pay for a completed transaction.
Can I take a pre-authorisation and then change the amount which is committed?
You can commit less than the pre-authorisation amount.
You cannot commit more than the pre-authorisation amount.
You can take additional payments from the same card against the order only if the customer has given approval, by ticking a box which is shown during the checkout by the card entry fields.
Will I be able to use the same Merchant Account IDs for each of my different websites?
You use one SellerdeckPay and Merchant Account ID, then setup separate Merchant Site IDs per domain. This will also allow you to filter your reports to see data across all Site IDs and filter per Site ID.
Is there an additional cost for multiple websites?
No, you are just charged 1.4% + 20p per transaction (plus VAT).
However, you may need different Merchant Site IDs per domain.
When will Google Pay be available?
Google Pay will be available in 2024.
I have submitted my application to ClearAccept for SellerdeckPay – how long before I can start trading with it?
ClearAccept applications typically take four working days from date of submission. Please contact support if you’ve waited longer.
As soon as your account has been verified you can enter your credentials into Sellerdeck Desktop.
Where can I view the transactions taken using SellerdeckPay?
Through the ClearAccept portal, found here – https://portal.clearaccept.com.
Is there a virtual terminal?
Yes, there is a virtual terminal which is accessed from within WooCommerce
How do I accept multi-currency?
Currently, settlement is in GBP only. However, if you have a multi-currency requirement, please reach out to your Sellerdeck Account Manager who will connect you with a ClearAccept agent to discuss solutions.
I received my Welcome Email to collect my ‘secret keys‘ and the one time use link isn’t working, what do I need to do?
Raise a support ticket with Sellerdeck for us to resend the one time use link.
When will I receive my invoice from ClearAccept?
Invoices are emailed to merchants no later than the 10th of each month.
Are there restricted products?
Yes, below is a list of sectors which are prohibited:
